| Key Personnel |
President,
Andy Butler, CAS, believes Butler Promotions' most valuable
asset is the strength, diversity, and commitment of the BP
team. "Our location in inner-Southeast Portland is among the
leading destinations in the country for young, educated, creative
talent. Several of our employees live close by and walk or
ride bikes to our facility. We treat them right, and they
reciprocate with best-in-class quality and service. They keep
me and our other 'mature' team members fresh and motivated."
Andy started Butler Promotions in 1998 after a 20-year sales and marketing career in the wine industry. His tenure included senior-level positions during the explosive growth stages of Southern Wine & Spirits, the country's largest wine distributor; and Sutter Home Winery, one of the most successful wine brands ever.
While a student earning his BA in mass communications from California State University East Bay, Andy held the paid position of Sports Information Director. He also worked as Public Relations Director for the Independent Order of Foresters during his college years. Always a believer in the value of education coupled with experience, Andy earned the CAS (Certified Advertising Specialist) designation from Promotional Products Association International (PPAI). The CAS certification is awarded to fewer than 5% of promotional products industry professionals.
Grateful for his internship opportunities while a student, Andy has implemented an intern program at Butler Promotions for promising, motivated University of Oregon students

Jay,
Office Manager, hails from Northern California where she
earned her BA degree at College of the Holy Names in Oakland,
and spent several years as an award-winning customer service
representative and business owner in the beverage industry.
Always upbeat and amazingly detail oriented, "Mama Jay" has
the temperament, experience, and compassion that guides and
bonds the entire BP team.

engaging personality, knowledge, and professional approach
have earned her a loyal client base.

Mike, Art
Director, is a critical element in providing our
clients with superior promotional merchandise. Creative
ideas and awesome graphics are what separates exceptional
results from mundane. Mike earned his degree in Graphic
Arts and Illustration (no clip art here…) from the Art
Institute of Pittsburgh, and has 10-years experience
applying his creations to apparel and promotional products.

Jared, Production Supervisor,
is a graduate of Brown University with 7-years experience
producing custom quality (as opposed to production shop "quality")
embroidery. Besides overseeing the embroidery department and
ensuring BP's impeccable quality standards, Jared participates
in designing fresh concepts in tackle twill and appliqué projects,
and supervises shipping, receiving, and fulfillment.
|
| Johnny,
Embroidery Digitizer, consistently delivers precision
stitching for even the most complex designs. Digitizing for
embroidery is highly specialized and has a steep learning
curve. Most shops farm out the digitizing process to mysterious
and faceless overseas operations, with quality and reliability
levels that are inconsistent at best. An in-house digitizer
with Johnny's skills is a huge asset for BP and our clients.
|
| Mike S,
Head Screen Printer, learned the screen printing
business in Delaware, and brought his expertise to BP
a couple of years ago. Mike's 12-years of experience
in apparel printing is apparent through the consistent
quality and durability of his work. The BP team has
decades of experience with screen-printed garments,
and none of us has ever witnessed a printer as talented,
conscientious, and reliable as Mike S.

We Are NOT
- A franchise, paying royalty fees to remote "support" facility
- A jack-of-all-trades organization with self-anointed promotional "experts"
- A "middle-man" offering few or no resources
- A "virtual" company with nothing but a website, smoke, and mirrors….
Stormwater Management Project
Butler Promotions, in partnership with the City of Portland's Bureau of Environmental Services, installed a flow-through planter system at our facility in 2006. The system incorporates a combination of infiltration and flow-through planters, connected to the diverted downspout from the roof through a sculptural stainless steel art-piece. It virtually eliminates our dependency on the city's combined stormwater sewage system. The planters have been planted with native species- creating an eco-friendly, sustainable solution to stormwater management.
The environmental benefits from this project are substantial, as most of our site's stormwater runoff will no longer feed into the Willamette River. In addition, the planters will filter and cool the stormwater to lessen the negative environmental impact on the watershed and the wildlife that depends on it.
